Study of the mechanisms of the nervous system through neural network models

A02Study of the mechanisms of the nervous system through neural network models

In this study, we will observe the neural activities of the head region of the nematode C.elegans, in which the whole connectome is known, by using the 4D imaging microscope. We then employ machine learning by neural network models to predict the neural activities, and by doing so under different settings we try to relate the performance of the neural network models to describe the real neuronal network. Further, we will construct neural network models that mimic the real network and understand the designing principle of the neuronal network.
